Water Heater won't light

I have a 2006 Casita SD and the pilot light won't light. The red button does not push in.

Information would help, have you used it before?

Is it just operator error? The main knob in the wrong position? I find the knob on mine is not indexed quite right and need to rock it a little. This picture is an Atwood LP only unit.

Turn the knob while pushing lightly and when it gets to the correct position the red knob will depress all the way.

We still do not know what unit he has, I only guessed when I heard "RED BUTTON".
