Hi everyone,
After spending a lot of time looking around this forum, we decided on a 13-foot Uhaul--thanks so much for all the information! We found one in Las Vegas (we are in San Francisco) so we took the trip to pick it up from a really nice couple last Friday. It is incredibly cute, just wonderful. We have named it Roly Pully because that's what it does, and it looks like a roly poly bug. I am able to work remotely half the month, so we just go to Internet cafes to get and send my work, and I can work on the bed, it's just great! We camped on the way home in the Eastern Sierras, which is shown in the picture.
It has an air conditioner in the back, which we are going to remove. We hope to buy a window from
Scamp to replace that window, as well as the one in the front so that it opens, if that's possible. We also have to make a permanent bed, a desk in the front, add some
LED lights, work on the wiring, etc. But on the whole, it's in really good shape. The previous owner bought it from a man who had bought it from
Uhaul, and the first owner made a few alterations that aren't so great, but we can undo them without much trouble.
