Welcome to the group Eddy

I suggest that you start a new thread, maybe in the owners helping owners forum and specify what parts you are seeking.

Hello All
I recently purchased a 1976 Boler B1300, it's in great shape and was well cared for but I'm looking forward to making it a tad more funky. I've wanted a little egg for a very long time so am super excited about all the adventures. My fridge currently only works on propane so I'm going to need to get that repaired or more likely replaced.

Welcome Sam! You'll love it here :-) mine is a 76 also. Fridge doesn't work on 12V or 110V but DOES work on propane...which is the handiest at campgrounds with no hookups.

Richard

Hello from Wy and Tx - after looking for over a year I found my camper! A 1982 Burro, in good shape and in my price range. I have lots of ideas on how to pretty it up and where to take it. Can't wait to get on the road with it. Next week my hitch gets installed on my Subaru and I will HAVE to take it out for at least a one night stay right away! I am in Wy for 4 more weeks and there are so many wonderful camp spots, then back to Texas to explore some more. Before I can take it out in Tx I need to get an ac, was thinking of trying the 5 gal bucket diy version, we'll see!

Hi everyone, my husband and I have had a 2003 SD Casita, bought new and are thinking about early retirement and traveling, possibly fulltime. I'm loving this site and learning a lot. Our only frustration with our Casita is that we haven't been able to use it enough. Hoping to change that soon.

For new members to introduce themselves and for us to welcome them, not to start discussing issues/problems with their units or help requests, those posts should have been separated and put under the appropriate thread.

Jim is correct much of this (including my last post) should probably be in owners helping owners in specific thread(s).

I'll bounce it off the others and see what can be done to possibly clean this up. Without the person with the original question losing track of where the answers are getting posted.

I moved the discussion of the 76 Boler electrical and fridge testing and repair to it's own thread in Problem Solving - Owners helping Owners.

Here is a link to find those posts.

http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...tml#post471443

I'm leaving the posts on the need for a new thread for a specific problem because it may prove instructive to new members.

With electrical and fridge question as it's own thread it will help others that come along later dealing with the same problem or mysteries better follow the discussion of possible solutions or testing done by the original poster.

Some members follow different sections of the forum or pay more attention to thread topics they have an interest in. As an electrical and fridge thread it will attract more folks with experience in that model or those subjects.

No harm, no foul, just a little housekeeping to help OP get helpful responses.

Hello all!

I recently was introduced to the Boler (was parked on my street), and now am looking for a miniature camper such as the Boler / Scamp or something of the like. I need it to sleep 4 and ideally have a toilet for midnight visits. I am not very handy. Which brand or model would you recommend? Would a vintage (mid '70's) one need way too much work?

Some people put a porta pottie under the front couch to avoid those midnight walks. That works for the Scamp with the front couch/bunk beds which sleeps 4 and I'm pretty sure the Boler also.

How much work depends on how it has been cared for and the quality of any previous repairs (or things not repaired). You can see some mid 70's that are in great shape and some mid 90's that are in pretty bad shape.
