Gary, the wall thickness is pretty uniform as you have suspected. The thickness of the
fiberglass is much less, but by the time you add in the insulation, wall covering, and perhaps wood backing for the windows, you would be looking at 1/2” to 3/4”. Do you already have windows to replace your current ones, or are you simply removing them to re-glaze your existing frames? Butyl putty tape is the best to reseal the frames to the
fiberglass shell when you replace them. Best of luck.
