Certificate from the vet that states the dog is in good health. Actually the only thing a dog coming into Canada from the USA really needs is a certificate/letter from vet showing what date the dogs current Rabies shot expires - some shots are only good for a year but most vets these days are using the ones that a good for 3 years. That is all they will ask for at the border going either way - that is if they bother to ask at all. I use to leave a copy in the glove box of the car so I would not forget it.

Thanks for the clarification. I usually give the border guard the rabies certificate right away so it gives them something to hem and haw over. Otherwise they might start pokin' around, ya know.
