Does anyone know the book value of a 2019 Trillium Outback?

I'm looking at buying a newer Trillium Outback, but will have to pay taxes based on the book value of the trailer. Does anyone happen to know the book value of these things?

If your in Ontario taxes are paid as a percentage of the purchase price.

Whenever I've purchased a used vehicle (this is my first trailer) the taxes applied have been book value or purchase value whatever is higher (hence why I want to know what the book value is). Does that not apply to trailers?

"Book" value doesn't really matter much in the all-molded world. Perhaps insurance companies use NADA in the case of a totaled trailer... and then the fight is on!

Every single trailer has two values. What the seller is wanting to sell for and what a buyer is willing to pay. It's up to the two to come to an agreement. Location pays a big part too! For instance, while a beautiful 1968 boler may sell for $15,000 in Los Angeles, it may only sell for $12,000 in Vancouver, BC.

Isn't your Bill of Sale good enough? Otherwise see if NADA has a listing for your trailer. Good luck

When talking about value insurance companies treat trailers and boats differently than cars. Your best to talk with your insurance provider.

Here in BC with ICBC they pay fare market value, at the moment I'm under valued and need to increase my coverage to market value.
For the sake of a few more dollars in tax don't low ball yourself.

Check with your insurance agent. They should be able to look it up.

Your dept of motor vehicles, or what ever they call it in Ontario, will have the book they go by. But you best have the bill of sale the seller provided you when you register it!

I just looked it up and Ontario says Red book pricing (not sure what that is, in the Yukon we used Black book which I think is wholesale) or purchase price which ever is higher. 13% is what is indicated. Why don't you call an Ontario vehicle registration office and see what they say.
