I noticed a statement on the back of my annual
Scamp 13' Washington State
registration renewal suggesting I might try to register as an intermittent trailer for a one-time permanent cost (~$187.50) versus the $72.50 or so per year I pay now. I looked up the details, and think I qualify!
Trailer and plate requirements
Trailer:
- Must be registered in WA
- Have a standard license plate, or A restored plate that was issued by us the year the intermittent-use trailer was manufactured
- Must be in good working order
- Have a scale weight of 2,000 pounds or less
- You can use them for: Club activities, exhibitions, tours, and parades, occasional pleasure use
You can't:
- Rent them to the public - personal use only
- Use them for commercial or business purposes
Has anyone with a small
fiberglass trailer successfully registered this way?
