Contact Scamp and they can e-mail you a current price sheet. But I believe 2020 production is booked and they are now taking deposits for 2021.

Jon,
Frank is absolutely correct. Scamp is very easy to work with and by communicating with them, there can be no doubt that the info you're getting is CORRECT.
I must say tha buying my 2007 13' Deluxe was the easiest RV purchase I've ever made, and I've bought 12 of them over the past 30 years!

Just grabbed the 2020 Price sheet the other day. Your looking at around $15k OTD for a fairly basic 13' with just a few options, up to low/mid $20's for a loaded up Deluxe 13'. Though with how busy they are and with the wait list/times ever increasing, I expect another pretty substantial price increase soon. With all this COVID stuff, camping has exploded. Though as much as I hate to say it. Once this Virus stuff is all over, it's going to be a RV bloodbath, with tens of thousands of gently used RV's flooding the market. The days may be back of finding $3-4k gently used Scamps.

Hi Ftears,

Just got the new price list from Scamp and the 16 Foot Standard w/Option package is 18795 for 2021 models, up from 18195 in 2020. Some of the additional options have also increased.

Does anybody know if Scamp negotiates on prices? Also, with the increases, is Scamp still a good buy relative to other trailers? I expect these price increases are happening across the industry.

Thanks,

Tom

Scamp is taking orders for spring delivery, thus a 6 month waiting list. As such, the price is take it or leave it. That seems to have always been the case. On the used market 40 year old trailers are selling for 2 to 3 times their original cost. In many cases a year old trailer sells for what the owner paid with the buyer simply avoiding the long wait.

Longevity is the attraction. With proper care, these trailers last a long time. And the covid 19 pandemic has made camping an appealing option, so RV sales in general are up. Many on this forum, myself included, expect to see a lot of the trailers sold by dealers this year to be up for sale next year. So if you are looking for a deal on a stick built, be patient. But for fiberglass I expect it will continue to remain a sellers market.

No, they don't negotiate unfortunately, won't even throw in an extra option or two. Prices are relative, as said, with COVID going on everything is upside down. Camping has been the new go too new hobby for many families. Are they (Molded) worth the price? If you take into account the excellent resale value, yes I think they are. The quality difference compared to traditional built coaches however is starting to narrow, possibly even surpassed. With the introduction of AZDEL, VBL vacuum bonding, aluminum frames, Truma Systems, 3 Year-warranties, the list goes on and on. Remarkable what $20k-25k can buy you today. It's getting harder and harder to justify paying low $20's for a Scamp 16' when for around the same money I can get a Cougar 22RBS with Auto Leveling, Seamless Countertops, Road Armor Suspension, 4 Season ready and more.... In a few years will the Cougar be worth a grand or two less, sure it probably will. Were the resale value really shines for the Molded units, is when you get past that 8-10 year old mark.

Price negotiation?

Nope. Good RV suppliers are currently is the driver seat on prices. The saving grace is that molded fiberglass trailers kept in good shape keep their value better than almost anything on the road!

We've got a 16' Deluxe on order for December and looking forward to next spring camping!!

Happy trails!

From discussions with Scamp today on a basic 13 foot the base price is $14300 with March delivery. Options can easily add a few more thousands.

Scamp pricing

Wow! Base price on my 2008 (delivered 2/2009) was $7500. It has nearly doubled in 12 years and seems to be running well ahead of general inflation.

Painful when you buy, but good when you sell, since rising new prices make for a strong resale market.
