In case you wonder, they are very good at refunding your deposit

Sept 22 2022 — made reservation for a Scamp 16’, layout 4, 2024. Deposit $500 paid. Est. completion May 2024.

Aug 2 2023 — Scamp informed completion time to be Oct 2023. Told Scamp that we cannot take it at that time.

Jan 9 2024 — Scamp reached out again, asking for final confirmation. We decided to cancel the order.

Jan 10 2024 — Deposit refunded

Sounds like you got caught in the rapid reduction of build times following the factory expansion and easing demand. I do understand that when you're working full time, long trips take lots of advance planning. Glad you got prompt service under their very generous cancellation policy.

So what's the new plan?

We have a scamp 13'. We will hold on to it, until our son (he is 3yo) gets older and allows for longer camping trips
