Value of 1990 Scamp Deluxe with bunk beds

Hi,

I'm trying to understand pricing for used Scamps, and someone in my area is selling a 1990 for $15K. I haven't seen it yet, but the interior looks to be in good condition. That seems like a lot for a 31 year old Scamp though.

I don't think it has a bathroom.

Thanks for your time!

What the market will bear

Prices are up, availability is limited. Plus FG RVs hold up well. I'm thinking this is a good price.

Do a nationwide search and see what that year and model are selling for. Actually, it is what ever the market will bare. Two months ago when I brought my new to me 2006 Scamp 19, I thought I stole it. I paid $11,000 for it and only had to travel 350 miles to get it. I'm sure there are people around here who would say I paid to much, but I have seen older Scamp 19's that were more than what I paid!

Too little information here. Is it a 13? 16? 19?

If it is a 13, that is high, but people have been getting high prices lately. The fact that it didn't sell immediately is a guide that price is high. A good deal goes fast (a few days), a great deal goes in minutes.

Check out sold listings over on Fiberglass RV 4 sale site for comparisons. Assumes sellers got close to asking price (actual sold prices are not disclosed).

Distance from the factory is one thing that drives up the price. Also it is over thirty years old, you do not give much information, but even if it is a 16 that's to much money unless it is a fully equipped deluxe. This is more typical:

In 1990 it probably sold for somewhere close to 15K and today it will probably sell for 15K
Molded Fiberglass trailers really hold their value.

.....It may have sold for 6300$ and could easily bring twice that now.
