Adding water (never acid) to a battery

Sold as a wash bottle, this also works well for adding distilled water to a battery. Note that the lower pictured cell is properly filled for a fully charged battery. If you have a nearly dead battery that is low on acid, fill it to cover the plates, charge it, then fill again to the proper level and then continue charging.

Or use a hydrometer to measure the cells and to top up with distilled water.

I think my last hydrometer left with my last RV. I just ordered a new one.
