Anderson 12 volt connectors

I just watched another new product review today that included the Anderson connectors. It looks like the RV world will settle on the same standard wiring as the emergency ham radio community. When we operate each others equipment in strange locations a polarity standard is important. This is the information from the armature radio emergency service and should serve us well here also. There are variations so TRUST BUT VERIFY! (I use all 30 amp for my equipment.) https://www.qsl.net/w2vtm/powerpole.html

I have PowerPole in my trailer, but just for the radios. That let's me quickly pull a radio out of the house and use it for an event.

I should have used them when I rewired to house circuits, but chose to use regular crimp connectors because I had the tool.

I also use them on all my radios and keep them in my truck and the trailer.

I have dual 20 Anderson PP bulkhead connectors in the Scamp.. I can also switch off the house battery and use the Anderson PP to plug in one of my two LifePo4 batteries (call it back feed if you like).. so in effect I have three 100 amp batteries (one at a time). Of course all radio gear is Anderson PP but also some USB-C PD chargers, a 400 watt inverter, etc... it all interoperates.

I like these connectors too.

As far as a polarity standard, isn't it just "don't plug red-black into black-red?"

There are different ways to install them and at first, companies and people were finding them. Like this...

I use them in our Snoozy and tow vehicle. To make is clear to all, this is the convention that the amateur radio folks use, which I use on the RV as well.
They can be put together red on the left and black on the right also.

I am a ham radio operator so got used to these. I have them on a lot of other stuff. But one issue. They do not like ever being wet.
