We bought our trailer used (BigFoot 25"); it had
solar installed by the previous owner. It has one 50 Watt panel; the brand (on the back of the panel) is SolarPro. He said that he bought it at CampersWorld, but they must no longer carry it, as I can't find it on thier website. The panel is portable (stored under the bed), but has a plug installed by the back bumper of the trailer, so that's where he set it up. There is a controller mounted in the bedroom that has SolarPro CC20 on it (by icpsoplar.pro) that measures the charge of the
battery, etc. We were thinking of getting another
solar panel or two, to extend our abilities to stay charged while
boondocking.
Our question: Can you mix brands? As mentioned elsewhere on the forum, Costco has a good deal on a
solar system. If we bought that, could we use that brand
solar panels connected to our system? How can we extend our system if we can't find the same brand panels (I don't see the the 50W listed on their website.) Will any brnad be compatible?
Any ideas or advice?
thanks
Nancy
