Extension Cord.

I need to use an extension cord to plug in at the outlet and attach to the cord connected to the fuse box in the trailer. Thanks in advance

I would look for a contractor Grade 10/3 cord if your using 120 volt ac. less voltage drop and a far stronger cord to take the abuse outside. If you need the heavier cord for 30 amp service there are RV extension cords readily available.

To add to what stevebaz wrote.
Get the shortest cord you can live with, these contractor cords weigh a lot and there's bit of voltage loss as cords get longer and longer.

...you can buy a proper RV extension cord from Wally World for around 50bux...it will be 25-30' long with the proper wire size (10ga) and the correct RV receptacle ends.........
madjack

p.s find them in the Rv section, usually near the automotive section...........mj

I see you have an ECO 13.
Don't know if anyone else noticed.

If your ECO has anything like stock equipment,
it likely came with a 20A cord or less.
A 12/3 extension cord might actually be
plenty more than needed.
Length within reason is not much of an issue since
there is really not much voltage drop on 110AC.

Really should know what equipment you run
in order to give realistic advice on which cord
is best suited to your needs. Of course "too heavy"
will work fine even if it might be inconvenient at times
or a bit bulky.

Check the main circuit breaker. That will tell you what size wire to use. Folks with high demand such as an air conditioner, heat strips, microwave oven, need a larger wire. I have lights, a water pump, and a fan, so require less. But it's important to not use too small a wire if you have a large main breaker. For example a 12 ga 20 amp wire should not be used if your main breaker is 30 amp. The wire should match the breaker.

We carry a 50 foot construction extension cord rated for 15 to 20 amps. We find that we can run everything in our trailer with it, principally the fridge, water heater and morning appliances. We typically use this when plugged into our home or a friends home. At night we occasionally run an electric heater and an electric blanket. Most of the time our RV cord is adequate.
