Hurricane supplies: Solar lights, fans, pumps

I'm planning to travel to Anguilla for Thanksgiving, where my sister has a house. Her house, thankfully, was spared significant damage from hurricane Irma, but the much of the island is in bad shape, including the power grid.

I'd like to take/ship some solar items to friends there and would like your recommendations. Since there's usually ample sun, I think solar items would be most useful. I added pumps to the list (which could include siphons) because many people get their water from cisterns.

I know many of you camp off-grid, and I would love to hear your ideas.

PS Also ideas for charging electronics

Luci lights would make a nice addition to anyone's emergency supply.
They are a very popular item with RV folks who camp off grid. Durable, reliable and well regarded product that gives off a good amount of light for quite a long time. They are available in stores across the country and of course online. Inflating LED light fixture that folds up to a compact size. Here is the link to the companies own website. They are currently on sale for 50% off so grab some for Christmas gifts too! Plus the company has a special priced donation where you can buy one and they will send it to a non profit handling disaster relief in an area such as Puerto Rico, where there is a real need for them at present.

Anne go to the professional people who sell this stuff and ask the right people how you can help best. You will need Charge Controllers that way you can get a 50W or 100W and a 12V Deep Cycle Car Battery and charge all kinds of things plus run a small fridge, TV, readio etc.
