One of the best advantages of lithium ion is they can discharge at a rate that is much larger than a standard battery. This makes it possible to run your a/c on lithium, assuming your bank is large enough. This is a selling point on the new hymer/roadtrek class b's. In a scamp 13, its not worth the money imho, i get along fine through a full weekend without even charging. For longer trips i have a solar panel and a tiny 700 watt sportsman generator as a last resort. That whole setup cost less than half of 1 lithium battery. Maybe once the price drops, but right now i don't think its worth the money. In other news the tesla giga battery factory in Nevada is now making more batteries than all other manufacturers combined, and they are planning on opening another one in China in the future. So that price may come down sooner than we think.

These carbon foam Firefly Batteries look like they could be good in RVs and campers. Could discharge more than 50% and still regain full capacity.
