Mounting PD4045 in bench?

At first I wanted to install the pd4045 fuse box on the left side of the cabinet where the sink is but then I thought this might not be a good idea since the cabinet is structural.

So then I thought about mounting it in the rear bench opposite the water tank. Will a hole that big to fit the fuse panel jeopardize the integrity of the bench when you sit on it?

As long as any cutout is in the flat it won't make a difference, the corners are the strong point.

I did a similar install in our Uhaul. I made the corners of the cut slightly rounded and reinforced the opening with a piece of plywood and a strap brace to the floor.

Ok if it doesn't make a difference then it will probably go in the kitchen counter. It will be allot easier to work with the benches removed from the camper.

Must be out of reaching distance of the sink not only for safety from electrical shock but possible damage from water spills.

I guess under the bench it is then. I'll just have to use it laying it on the floor temporarily until the benches get installed
