Thumbs up Thank You

Folks-

We've been out of touch a bit and have not had the chance to comment in a while. Boy did we miss a LOT! First I have to say that I really really like FiberglassRV. It is a goldmine of information for newbies like us. Like many of you we tent camped but got tire of sleeping on the ground and setting up in the rain so we got our Casita. Now we have to learn new tricks.

Thanks to all who responded. We have received everything and more that we hoped for when we posted the question. Now, armed with good information we can make intelligent decisions.

These are trying times. Stay safe out there. Best wishes to all, generators pro or con.

Kirk & Eva

Welcome to the obsession. CAMP YOUR WAY; LIFE IS GOOD!

When I first joined, Honda generators were the talk of many forum's here. Slowly, solar has taken over such boondocking discussions. Hondas are quiet, dependable and can be used to recharge batteries rather quickly. If you are running an efficient system, you could possibly get away with a Honda 1000. I've seen videos of those running a 5000btu air conditioner and they are remarkably quiet when not being run at max power. Click image for larger version

I got a Pulsar 2200 dual fuel because I don't like carrying extra gasoline.

I have been happy with it and I just added a second LP tank for the fuel instead of a gasoline can.
