Replacing the bulb in the fixture without knowing if it is the correct bulb for the fixture could be a minor disaster in the making. Many of the outside fixtures (actually most RV light fixtures) have stamped or molded into them the correct bulb number. Often people install an incorrect replacement bulb and many times that bulb is a much higher wattage and makes more heat. Look closely at the inside of the fixture, look for writing or etching, stamping or imprinting that might tell you the bulb number. Then you will have the correct lamp.
