Renogy Customer Service Just Fine

Reporting a satisfactory experience with Renogy customer service. I bought a 100Ah Li battery back in May. All was fine until a few weeks ago when it became discharged and wouldn't take a charge. I emailed Renogy and they replied overnight. We exchanged a number of emails, trying things to "wake it up." I figured early on that it was always going to be an overnight exchange but that's OK. Eventually they decided it needed to go back to be checked and they arranged for pickup by Fed Ex. I just had to box it (still had the box it came in) tape on a label and leave on the front porch. After a week or so they decided it was defective and I could have another one. Well, in the months since I bought the thing I've realized my plans for the trailer are uncertain. I asked Renogy if I might get a partial refund instead of a replacement. It was well past the refund period but but they quickly provided a full refund via Paypal. This was service beyond their obligation so I'm grateful. Anyway, if they have a product that suits you, based on my experience you would be safe to buy from them.

That's AWESOME support from them.

I bought a Renogy Wanderer PWM charge controller and after a few days it failed.
I used the Amazon support feature and was connected to a Renogy support person via email techsupport@renogy.com.

They asked me for some voltage measurements, photos and eventually I sent them a video of the situation. https://youtu.be/XD-HdRo-sfc

After that, they went silent. For weeks. I kept trying to get their attention.

A few days before the Amazon return period expired, I packed the whole setup up and returned it to Amazon.

TWO DAYS after the Amazon return period expired, I got a message from Renogy asking for some more photos of the unit.

So....... As they say, Your Mileage May vary.

I replaced it with a TopSolar charge controller/panel for $65 and it's been perfect for my needs.

Yeah, when I realized there was a problem I sure wished I had bought it through Amazon. Returns are so easy with Amazon, you don't even have to box stuff up anymore. Nevertheless, I've no complaint with Renogy.
