I've checked voltages at various places without any load other than the battery (12.9 disconnected) connected to the system (and no shore power): 11.5, 11.8, and 12.3 or close to it found throughout. Do I look for problems between higher and lower voltages? Like shorts? I'm trying to map it all out so that I know what's on the circuit between light fixtures, etc.

Look at each side of connections

No if it's 12.8 with no load then drops to under 12.2 with a load your battery is crap, get a battery and retest

Water pump is nothing significant. It only runs to build pressure, then shuts off.

Furnace on the other hand can tax a battery if it runs alot. The blower is the killer. I have never had issues with the furnace and my single group 24 deep cycle battery but then again I have only used the furnace on moderately cold nights to take the chill off.

I posted on your other thread, but yes, your battery is junk. My battery is at least 2019 as it was in the trailer when I bought in Nov 2019, and its still going strong. I attribute my luck to having Progressive Dynamics multi-stage converters, and having the trailer plugged in (in my shop) 24/7 year 'round. I may replace it next spring, just on general principle but for now, it is fine. Also, I don't kill it when camping without shore power, I charge it with the generator every day, unless I'm towing, then it gets charged from TV.

I've spent too much on batteries right now to want to buy another and have it sit all winter. MY truck's Group 65 AGM's bought in Mar 2018 got weak and I had to replace them the other day, and the car was sluggish cranking also in this colder weather. so it got a new one also, all Walmart EverStart Platinum AGM batteries.

Hopefully some experts can chime in over there.
We've moved your original thread over to Electrical/Charging, Systems, (etc) and merged the two. Best to keep all the discussion in one place.
