Westinghouse Inverter/Generator

I just saw this in a Camping world ad. The combination of higher power and lower price might be interesting to anyone having trouble running an AC from the usual 2,000W igennies.

Westinghouse iPro2500 Portable Inverter Generator, 2200 Running Watts/2500 Peak Watts, Gas Powered, CARB and OSHA Compliant - Westpro Power Systems iPro2500 - Portable Generators - Camping World

Looks like a Harbor freight knock off for $150 more.
Blue instead of red.
I have the Harbor Freight Predator 2800/2500 inverter and it works well and has held up so far.
Starts on the first "Pull" if you prime it after it has sat unused for a while by slowly pulling it through 10 times.

The web site says designed in Columbus, Ohio so I googled them and found an address that is about 2 miles from me. That whole area was leveled and is being redeveloped by NRI that stands for NationWide Reality Investments, the insurance company, and that 930 Williams Ave building is gone.

I suspect this and the HF units are both made by Lifan, a very large Chinese concern.

I went to the Westinghouse web site to see if I could find some definitive noise levels. NOP all subjective. I suspect it's quite noisy.

The Westinghouse name was bought up by some company or other; I forget who it was. W is not the company we older folks remember.

My Harbor Freight isn't too noisy and most of the noise comes from the intake and not exhaust.
I modified the air cleaner bu adding baffle tubes (post on here somewhere) and it is as quiet as the Honda and puts out more power, heavier too.

I'd love the details on those baffles if you can locate them.

I haven't tried this one but it is a closer knock off of the Honda.
I don't see it on sale this weekend though
My unit is the older 2500 watt unit and not this 2000 watt one.
The new one will parallel, but the older one will not.

Unfortunately my laptop is kaput and I don't find a search function on this phone for the forum.
Working on deciding on a new laptop.
