what are you all doing to lock down your Generators to a Strongberg Carlson trailer?

So I have a stromberg Carlson Trailer tray on my 17 ft Casita independence. I want to place my predator generator on the tray. What is everybody using to secure the generators to the tray that keeps them from moving and prevents them from Being stolen? Pictures would be helpful and links to product even better.

Any locking device can be foiled, given enough time, and if hidden from sight.
At best, your "security" system will make it difficult enough to slow the thief down, and draw attention to himself.

Have a look at Lowpro.
This is not an endorsement, BTW.

I purchased Pewag Security Chain & lock. It cost a lot but it can't be cut. Then I use regular straps to keep it from moving.

Smile I am really interested in how the generator is secured to the trailer tray?

How do you keep it from moving as you are driving down the road? I figured I couldn't be the only guy who has one.. Just trying to get the best Idea on how to tie it down to the trailer tray..

What type of generator do you have? Some you can buy a lockdown tray for your Generator.
LowPro LockDown. Keep what’s yours.

I use a ratchet strap to keep my aluminum box in place.

I would look for some kind of cover top put over your genrator. Out of sight out of mind. As far as that Pewag security chain that "can't be cut" I gaurentee that a battery powered angle grinder would make quick work of it.

Theft prevention will not stop a pro if he wants what you have. It does hinder the causal/opportunity theft. Best thing you can do is make yours harder that others that are out there. I would worry more about the whole trailer than a HF generator. A well hidden gps tracker should be standard equipment.

I just put 4700 miles on with the generator behind my camper.
So I put the predator on tray. Put cut pool noodles on the handles. Bought a ?$17? cover and put that on. Put a 2 inch ratchet strap over the cover through the straps on the cover. Then I put a chain over the strap also through the cover and used padlocks on both sides of the tray.

The generator never moved, and that was through mountains and places it shouldn't have been!

I second the Low Pro Lockdown. That is as good as it gets. Make sure that tray is equally secure. A good thief can still get it given enough time. I have a tray welded to my receiver ball mount. Our Honda has traveled all over the US. I keep it under a unmarked vinyl cover.
