Bigfoot's water Pump 2093-204-113 leaking

Hooked up to city water at campground, and pump started leaking in more than one spot... Couldn't take the pressure I guess, as it works fine pumping water out of the tank..

I initially wanted to replace the pump, but remembered there is a pressure regulator that many people use..

What's good pressure reduction target?

You are not supposed to use the water pump when connected to city water.
Yes, get a pressure regulator and use it.

I know that's low for some people but I do not like problems. If you get the 10$ one at Walmart it is preset to 40 - 50. I use the one below. (Note also that if the water pump still leaks that there may be a rebuild kit for it. Mine had the check valve fail and was running water out the overfill.)

You can also install a check valve on the pressure side of the pump which will stop the leaking when on city water, as well as possible backflow through the pump to your freshwater tank if (when) the pump check valve fails. All the parts for this are available at Lowes or Home Depot.
