Hole in Boler freshwater tank

I mustve caught a rock. There's a good size hole in the freshwater tank. Anyone have repair suggestions?
My first thought was to remove it and use fiberglass.
The hole is ragged and about 5"x2".

No chance that there are any aftermarket tanks that would fit? This old plastic is so brittle, it likely wont be long until there's another leak. Replacement might be a good option.

I did find some instructables for an external water tank online. I'd rather not do this work-around, but it might be the best option.

Just looking for ideas and advice.

It is a 1980 17' Boler

Measure the tank as best you can, and start looking online, there are lots of Plastics companies that make tanks, you might find one sized close enough to fit

Until you find a replacement you can always rig an external tank/jug like many others do.

The idea of an external tank is not my preferred way to go.
Worked with a RV contact yesterday who managed to find an exact replacement for about $350. I figure replacement is the best route.
Thanks for the responses.

Just my 2 cents, but $350 for a roto-molded plastic water tank seems to me like price gouging, unless this tank is about a 250 gallon capacity. Just sayin'.

Agreed. It seemed consistent with other RV holding tanks I priced-out, though

Amazon is full of fresh water tanks that are half or less.

Where did you get it? I am looking for one, too. The poor little tank was so brittle that, the last time my husband tried to open the little spigot on the bottom, it and a big chunk of tank just snapped right off in his hand!

A local RV dealer sourced it. There is manufacturer and model numbers on the tank. I think that info was helpful in tracking one down.
