Low cold water pressure

This is sort of a double post, I posted this problem combined with a 12v battery issue which is fixed. Posting here to get possible new input from other members. PROBLEM..when hooked up via hose from house to trailer my hot water faucet in kit hen and bathroom gives great water pressure but when I turn off hot and open cold in kitchen faucet I get next to zero pressure, same in bathroom. This Casita 1992 Spirit, bought by me last week, great condition but history is unknown as PO died and his wife was no help as it should be I guess. Hot water heater did fire up and cycled when temp dropped. Anode ever changed....not known. Noticed the cold side in kitchen dripped, took off cap n tightened Phillips screw a bit n drip quit. Faucet strainer is clean, cold pressure is low even when it is removed. If hot water tank is shot I should see rust/gunk in the water from faucet...clear water both hot and cold. I am only talking about when water is supposed from my house, the 12v system is not part of this discussion. Sure sounds like a blockage somewhere! No bypasses on this water system, pure stock from what I see. Help!!

I had a similar problem with my Casita. My guess is you also have low pressure to the toilet if yours is so equipped. If you take the supply line loose from the kitchen sink or the toilet flush valve you will probably find that it has a bunch of white flakes that look like deposits from hard water in it. I used to have to take those lines off every time I pulled the camper. I flushed the system and all would be fine till I towed it the next time. Not sure where it comes from but it kept coming back. Last year the 12v water pump went out and while I was replacing it I removed the fresh water tank and cleaned it and also replaced all the water lines between tank, pump and toilet and flushed everything again while it was all unhooked. So far, no more problems. The line under the sink is kind of hard to get to as is the one to the toilet. The toilet line has a filter. Make sure you clean and replace it or the junk will get in the toilet valve and you'll have to take it apart to clean it also.

You are spot on...took cold water supply line off fm under kitchen cabby, blew air just for safety n had wife turn on house supply water. Flowed like a champ but when connected to faucet, no water flow. Tells me the faucet is gone. As hot water pressure thru same faucet was super never gave the whole faucet a thought. Guess the faucet has separate valves for hot n cold. Did not know about toilet filter, will check it out. Do have those white beads...a water filter might be a good idea?????? Ordered new faucet from Little House just up the road fm me.

You could also try soaking the faucet in CLR ,which should clean out lime and mineral deposits.

The faucet is probably ok but some of that material probably got up in the cold side. That was the case with mine. An easy fix is to remove the cold water handle. Once the handle is removed take a crescent wrench and remove the valve assembly. It will be filled with the same stuff. The valves come out easily just remember what goes where and don't lose the gaskets.
A filter may help but it would have to be placed downstream from the source of the contaminates, where ever that is.
