Push-on shower hose on bathroom faucet

If I upgrade the bath faucet without a shower hose diverter (so I can have more faucet choices in my Casita), would a push-on shower hose that slips onto the faucet spout work well for showering? Has anyone ever used one of these slip-on hoses? Simple, cheap rubber or PVC product....and water flow control and on/off for the showerhead would be the sink faucet itself.

Besides wondering whether the push-on rubber part would pop off the spout, I am wondering if the low flow/pressure of Casita pump would work with this shower head...looks like an awful lot of big holes in it.

These have been use all the way back to the 50s. The water pressure is the same so it should work OK.

Last Fall when winterizing our trailer, we discovered that our bathroom faucet leaks.
I have been looking for a quality metal faucet with a shower diverter but so far I have been unsuccessful. Your idea about purchasing a standard sink faucet and a removable shower hose seems like a reasonable option

Thank You

I recently removed the entire plastic corner sink, the cheap plastic sink faucet with the "way-too-small" diverter that gives you a pee stream of a shower and replaced all of it with a real stainless steel hand sink, chrome plated brass high neck faucet and a separate quick release shower mixing valve that I installed in my new recessed stainless steel shelf that I cut into the bulkhead between the bathroom and the front closet. I didn't want the shower mixing valve or a wall mounted shelf sticking out into the limited space in the bathroom. Just more stuff to run into and bruise myself on bumping into them, so they're recessed. Nice to have a place to stick your can of shaving cream, toothbrush, razor and soap dish when you're set up. The quick release shower hose can also serve double duty when plugged into my converted outside shower as well. While replacing the sink drain, I got rid of the "P" trap and installed a HepVo one-way drain bladder in the drain line in the closet.
