Waterheater support

When I got my '99 Burro I noticed that there wasn't much holding up the appliances! In fact the fridge and the water heater were basically hanging on the fiberglass. I have since remounted both. Here is what I did for the water heater. I have a water heater blanket coming and there is room to fit the blanket between the mount and the tank... I ordered one of those thin(5mm) foil backed blankets that I will cut to fit. The angle bracket locating the mount uses one existing hole in the floor, I'd rather have two of those metal braces on the sides, going into the plywood but the existing hole and I didn't remove the heater so getting a drill in there was a no go. BTW, I didn't want to over do it as this is a 20+ year old appliance that may be replaced with something different when it fails. Tell me what you guys think! Do you think this is ample support to travel without draining the heater?

Coming along!

I'm reasonably confident I have all the leaks cleaned up. I'm going to put a piece of carpet in tomorrow, this mount affords quite a bit of usable space!

Fridge support

The fridge had 1/2" sticks in the rear corners but they were under a heat shield not the actual fridge! It was a disaster, there is resulting fiberglass damage I will address, eventually. Anyway here is the new support. I painted all the new wood with Thompsons water seal.

nice support,
I see the water pump under the fridge, you might want to relocate it, i would hate to have to take the fridge out to change the waterpump or a filter.

Water pump access

Its actually quite accessible from the fridge hatch and the sink cabinet. I added the pre-filter from the sink cabinet. I actually diverted other wires and hoses away from the pump to make it easier to access or troubleshoot.

Back together for now.

Carpet under the water heater looks terrific. I had enough "smart jacket" insulation left over to use it to "pin down" the fiberglass insulation around the fridge vents(second pic). I filled and cycled the heater a couple times and the water is hot!

I had a water heater when I bought my trailer but removed it a long time ago since I never used hot water and it was leaking from the rain due to an imperfect seal to the curved exterior wall. It looks like you're missing the rectangular styrofoam box that surrounds the aluminum tank but you've done a good job insulating and supporting it.

I'm curious about your access to the water heater, I don't think I have that opening. Do you have the further away photo of the counter cabinet?

Counter Cabinet

I think the configuration I have is somewhat rare. The water heater is below the oven.

I see you have a range and I have a cooktop with fridge below. And your fridge is where my furnace is.
