1979 Biggar For Sale

1978 Biggar 19’ Camper For Sale
I have owned camper since July 2011. Camper has been stored indoors since 2014 when not in use. Only ever used for work in Saskatchewan and Alberta(summers only) and wasn’t used every year as I was in camp jobs sometimes. Started upgrading camper for quick rig up/rig out with as many conveniences as possible and would have kept going but haven’t used camper since 2017. Has been in insulated Quonset shed since. Don’t want to sell, but no time in the future to use it, so I am hoping to find someone that has a real appreciation for these old fiberglass units, and maybe take it to the next level.
Just finished a 3-stage polish on the trailer. (Part of roof still needs polished) and polished up the aluminum strip around middle of trailer. Fiberglass isn’t perfect, but still in really good shape for its age, I have always tried to keep up on it. There are some spots on the roof were the that were siliconed from the previous owner, one spot looks like it held a base for a satellite dish. Roof has never leaked on me, and I have had it in some really heavy downpours.
Most repairs/replacements were done between 2015 and 2017 and trailer was maybe used a handful of times since so not much use on all of it.
Repairs/replacements include:
• New 2 5/16” hitch (Welded on by the certified welder in town)
• Safety chains and hooks
• Upgraded to two 30lb propane tanks Dates on tanks 09/2015, 06/2016 (Good for 10 years from Date of Mfg.)
• Propane hoses
• Propane regulator
• New battery box
• Battery ->Quicksilver Battery Marine & RV Dual Purpose (Bought in 2017 when I brought my camper home and never installed it. Has always been on an auto 2A trickle charger since and never used.)
• New 7 Way trailer Plug/harness with cover
• Emergency brake controller with coil harness for hook-up instead of a rusty break-a-way cable.
• Trailer hitch jack replaced, comes with foot attachment as well
• Installed 4 new trailer stabilizer jacks (2 on rear bumper, 2 on front axle)
• All exterior lights including taillights replaced with L.E.D.s, also wired in new lights in place of bottom reflectors for more lighting on the highway
• Grote Brite L.E.D. reverse lights installed and wired into 7-way plug. Can make a jumper plug and use these lights to light up the back side of your camp site. These are very bright
• Tires are 3x ->205/75R14 Kelly Explorer Plus and 1x ->205/75R14 Moto-Master All Season. Tires in really good shape and have lots of tread left.
• Spare tire has never been used and is a 195/75R14 Factory sticker on tire reads “Matrix” as brand. Comes with tire cover.
• Water hose/fresh-water hook ups replaced, satellite cable hook-up installed
• Larger outdoor light installed.
• Trailer was lifted 5" because you could take the flat off and out of the sunken fender, but you could not install the spare tire full of air into the sunken fender. Could not have this delay on the road
when going to work. Trailer has much better clearance and a regular stock height truck could tow this without modifications.
• In August 2015 all 4 wheels got new inner/outer bearings and races, as well as all new electric brake components and pads, new lug nuts, all freshly re-packed. Not many miles put on them since then. Didn’t need to but did as preventative maintenance and to not break down going out to work. Kept 2 spare inner and outer bearings as spares and have receipts for all parts listed above for future reference.
• All utility propane lines from mainline replaced due to rock damage. New lines have been recovered with fuel hose on bottom outside of trailer for longer life.
• Home-made Removable bike rack. Can fit up to two adult sized mountain bikes or ratchet strap containers to it, use it as a bar set up outside, put an outdoor freezer on it, haul firewood with it, very handy!
• Inside of trailer all lights replaced with new fixtures and led lights.
• Installed square vent L.E.D. light (Very bright)
• Installed over the range led light for cooking
• Higher sink faucet for more room to handle things in the sink.
• Inside Privacy cut outs made by previous owner for large front side windows
• Will leave all my aluminum bubble wrap cut-outs for all the windows, as I used them to completely black out camper when I worked night shift.
• MaxxAir Fan with thermostat remote with digital screen installed in original roof vent hole (Original vent comes with camper) Fan will suck air into camper or reverse it to blow air out of camper. Vent can be open or closed with fan going or stopped. Can be set on auto mode and run off thermostat. Nice to balance with air conditioner.
• Replaced Water pump
• Replaced Toilet
• Replaced stock manual water heater with an automatic electronic switch heater.
• Made a access door to tanks hidden at rear of trailer and replaced a questionable line with flex hose.
Will include:
• 32” Toshiba flatscreen t.v. with built in DVD player as it fits perfect in the rear window spot.
• Microwave
• Pot/pans
• Entire utensil drawer with organizer
• Dish dryer stand and drain mat.
• Bed night lamp
• Sony under counter radio with bass boost
• Garbage can with box of proper size bags
• Misc. cleaning supplies and bag of RV T.P.
• Shower organizer
• Electric heater
• LG window air conditioner with digital screen remote
• If you have a Bell subscription I will include a satellite dish with tripod stand, probably 300’ of wrapped up coax cable and a couple receivers with remotes
Disclaimers/Other Work
When installing the new water pump, I plumbed in a spot with quarter turn valves so you can isolate the fresh water tank and winterize the trailer with the pump. I also plumbed in the hot water tank so you can isolate and bypass it as well.
Hot water tank wasn’t drained properly the first year installed and cracked. Had a certified aluminum welder re-weld it and pressure test it. Unit has worked great since and never leaked. Can be viewed from backside inside of trailer.
Vinyl flooring in trailer has a tear at the joint under table
Oven door made a noise one day and doesn’t want to stay all the way shut, hangs open about 2”
Previous owner took out the fan vent above the stove, which is why I also purchased the Maxx Air fan. Light wired above stove is wired into the original power wires for the vent.
Old propane regulator diaphragm blew and a seal on the fridge started leaking. I unhooked and plugged off that line completely and tested with soapy water for leaks. Fridge works on 12V, 110V, and did work great on propane before the leak can show you where I think it’s coming from.
Recently tested all propane, stove top burners/ oven & oven pilot light all work properly, Fridge explained previously, Furnace works, harder to get going, but once lit is easy after that, heats camper well, is run off of a wall thermostat.
Comes with a fold up bunk bed that would mount on the wood strip you see in the one picture above the air-conditioner and couch, I have never put it in.
All slider windows work and screens in good shape. Rubber seals are still decent. All windows have a, from factory, light brown tint to them.
Fresh Water Tank Measurements: 52.5” Long x 14” Height x 6.25” Wide
Trailer GVWR: 4000 lbs
Trailer GAWR: 1800 lbs/ Axle
Trailer pulls well down the highway and I barely noticed it behind my diesel. No trades.
Have way more pictures of fibreglass, inside trailer hot water heater etc. But can't post anymore on this thread.
Easiest way to get ahold of me would be through Facebook messenger under Damien Mowez.
Trailer located in Virden Manitoba Canada. 3 hours west on Trans Canada of Winnipeg or 3 hours East of Regina.
