I have a rare 1979
Perris Pacer 17 foot fifth wheel camper
for sale. I purchased this fifth wheel as a project at the start of COVID but am unable to complete it due to health reasons.
This project has been a labor of love, and I ve replaced numerous damaged parts both inside and outside the camper.
We had a 13 foot
scamp for years but had to sell it due to a move out of state and hoped to finish this for camping.
Many of the original wooden components have been upgraded with
fiberglass composites and plastics to make this already lightweight fifth wheel even lighter.
There is an integrated hidden shotgun compartment. The 7 inch thick latex bed is just shy of being a king.
There are several hidden compartments that have been added.
The manufacturers tag lists the GVWR at 3,500 pounds and the GAWR at 2,800 pounds.
This camper was built by Perris Valley Campers, a company renowned for their 13 foot bumper pull trailers, this fifth wheel, and various stick built campers.
The fifth wheel model was only produced for three years, making it an uncommon and highly sought after find on the road today.
I m including a lot of extra parts with the sale to help complete the project. However, I have never had the camper on the road, and currently the
lighting and
brakes are inoperable.
When I first brought it home, I tested the
air conditioning and
refrigerator, and both were functional.
I did not test the
propane system as the camper didn t have a tank at the time.
The pink slip is in hand, and the camper is California registered through 1/31/2026 in my name with a clean
title.
Honestly this needs a lot of work to finish, if you are not looking for a project, this is not for you.
