Scamp 13' Wanted - California

I volunteer with CERT and IDEC and would like a SCAMP for my emergency radio communication work. If you have a 13' Scamp available, please contact me first. Prefer later model. Thanks.

You will like it, I've been using my 16' as a ham shack on wheels for several years. I carry wire dipoles, and also have 3/8 x 24 antenna mounts on the back of the awning mounts.

Hi DE KE4MD,
I use our 16" scamp for portable, field day and for possible CERT deployment and I have used several antennas and rigs in it.
I am currently set up for and Icon IC-7100 with an AH-4 tuner and a TN07 32' green telescoping fishing pole. The TN07 is mounted in a short piece of 2" schedule 20 PVC so that it can be inserted or removed easily. You have to use Sched. 20 because the more easily found sched. 40 is too thick and the antenna will not fit inside.
I also have a number of wire antennas if there are trees etc to toss a wire or rope into.
Towards power I have currently two Chin's LiFePO4 100 amp hour batteries and a Pre Marine 2000 watt inverter. The inverter is relatively quiet unless it is in auto transfer mode and getting power from the grid. in operation it is fairly quiet. Also installed are three 100 watt solar panels to charge the batteries.
Below is a picture of the trailer with the antenna up. Click image for larger version
