1969 hunter compact

I m pretty sure it is a 1969. I know it s a Hunter Compact not sure if it is junior or 1 or 2.

The inside length is 9 ft 6 in. It weighs maybe 600 lbs. I can pick it up with one hand and pull it int my garage tongue first no problem. Unfortunately I need to sell, was hoping to restore it and enjoy it since it can be towed with a Prius maybe . Asking 3200 has new tires and is ready to go. Such a cool trailer, it fits in a garage!

I am awaiting the replacement title from California. I bought it off my wife s uncle and the requested a replacement 2 weeks ago so should be here anytime. That s why I m not 100 on year and model

I see it has a fridge, and stove? I SO need a light trailer (VW Sportwagen) that I can afford! This could be the one! Title? Could it stay there for a bit while I arrange transportation? THANKS

That's definitely a Compact Junior. The Compact 1 & 2 have a totally different shell, a little wider and angled like a clamshell, with a smaller pop-top. Based on the lack of exterior vents, I assume it has an icebox, not a fridge.

You may want to verify the weight on a scale. I'd expect more like 900-1100# for an empty but complete Compact Junior and 1200-1400# loaded for camping. Even so, it's one of the lightest molded trailers out there and one of the few you can reliably keep under 1500#.

Looks like a fun project for someone!

Amazing price, good value. A note on weights : my Compact Jr was so light I could move it with one hand and the trailer would rear up on its back bumper if you put a foot on it. But that all changed with just the addition of the battery and propane tank on the front. Now it is about the same weight as my Scamp 13' , but less streamlined, so gas mileage is not as good. They are interesting little trailers. David in Fresno and Sonora
