1983 Scamp 13

We bought and refit this Scamp for a trip around the USA in 2011 with a 4 cylinder vehicle. Lightweight and easy to tow, tracks so well you forget you're towing something! Uses 1 7/8" tow ball. When parking was tight in the parks, we would detach and roll the trailer into a regular parking spot which is easy! Cute, comfortable to be in and well thought out, this camper attracts attention and it's common to have people stopping to inquire or poke their head in to see so be sure to save extra time wherever you're going!

Features and modifications since 2011:

Painted exterior with Summit Single stage acrylic paint "Turquoise Pearl"

Rear Subfloor replaced, new axle and 3 new tires amp; sporty aluminum rims

Fiberglass battery box, 2 new 6 volt deep cycle golf cart batteries 2018

Common Scamp door sag fixed now door stays shut and closes properly

All rivets in shell were removed and replaced with interior fiberglass tabs same as offshore sailboats so there are no leaks

Aluminum wraparound strap removed, sealed and polished

New, modern windows, gaskets

Replaced Hatch

Two 40 watt solar panels and charge controller

10amp 110volt marine grade battery charger

2 Wheel blocks, 2 jacks

15 amp Power Service

All cabinet doors attractive pearly maple

Built in ventilation fan installed in bed area in lower portion port side window

Black Hella Fan

Reading lights in each corner

Seating area for 2 with maple table and bookcase w/storage underneath, converts to bed for 1, new cushions

Large storage cabinet w/shelving amp; mirror

Full size memory foam mattress for bed area

Storage area underneath as well as 11 gallon fresh water tank poly tank

Bed area is set up to convert to table amp; seating area if desired maple table is in place with mechanism installed, although would need cushions made

2 burner propane cook top

Formica countertop, glass tile backsplash

12V DC Engel Fridge works great and can run for several days on batteries w/solar

Stainless sink

6 gallon propane water heater

Propane Heater original can turn on from bed! Works great, heats up cabin fast but is original equipment

Pressure water pump

JVC Stereo w/ speakers and amplifier

Cigarette Outlet

Breaker panel

110v outlet

Cutlery drawer

Black amp; Decker 12V vac

This has been a great little camper and was fun to spend time in. In an effort to be completely open the paint has chips in it from the tow truck tires, wish they were not there but part of using it I guess. The other thing is while doing the refit we decided not to make seating cushions for the back seating area and leave it as a bed. The table has the lifting mechanism new and is maple like the rest of the camper. We also have the fabric to do it to match the front dinette seating area. For 2 people though I doubt you would want to as the front dinette is great. This camper is ready to hook up and go!
