Fifth wheel trailer (The Quantum 5) made from 1978-1981 in Santa Ana, California, by Contempo (Columbia Coachworks). 17' long and fully self-contained, with tandem axles, built-in battery and tank monitors for fresh, gray and black tanks; wet bath; closet; refrigerator/freezer with TV shelf above; 3 burner cook top with oven; sink; queen/full size bed in front and a dinette/full bed combo in the back; built-in radio with cassette and four speakers; four AC outlets and two 12v outlets

Concept of and commissioned by Steve Whysel, the PlayPac "Hitch Hut" was intended to be light enough to be towed by a VW Beetle. Seventy-five of these trailers were built in the (eastern) US between 1971-1973, when production ceased. They featured a private bathroom, domed skylight, slept six and had an "ultra modern design."

Made in Kolding, Denmark, by Kolding Karosserifabrik, from the late 1960s until around 1988. Exported to many countries. Roof, top, and bottom molds joined with horizontal seams. Length: 18 ft.; interior height: 6' 3"; outside height: 8'8"; insulated and most had double-glazed windows. Custom interiors were available.

Made in Shelton, Washington, in the mid-1980s. Also called "Spacemaster." Has a 4.5 ft side entry door and the roof pops up from a front hinge. Canvas panels join the roof to the trailer sides.
