No problem Laura, Just a good thing to get done, eventually Im sure it would mess with the suspension. Im thinkin about dropping down to 1 30lb fiberglass composite tank and save 40lbs tongue weight.

thanks again deryk. i am taking off the propane tanks so that will help the tongue weight i hope and i already took out the chairs and table...someone said some water in the back might help lift the hitch up a little

my son will put the bags on but i will drive the nys thruway to rochester to get it done. its pretty flat i think. i can go slow.

    thanks for all your help.

Well yeah wireing isn't included in the tow package... I installed my hitch and wires off of ebay and then when I was going for a real trailer and needed break controller and a 7 pin connector that cost me $250 at a local trailer place. Dont forget your gonna need air bags to tow something as tongue heavy as your casita 17... Best of luck

hi again-sorry to be a pain. so i just found out my rav with the tow package is not wired for brakes. is that true? mine is a 2009...was yours wired? im confused. the salesman said i could go to uhaul and get a hitch and wires for 200-300. uhaul did the hitch and lites but not the brakes and now the rv place says 150. for the controller and 350. to wire the car. i didnt count on this. hope you're having a better day than me. lpk
