1975 Boler Rebuild
Starting from a mess, tearing down to nothing, then building into something....
IMG 1777
hood vent eliminated as is the furnace. We don't camp in the cold and I don't like a 40 year old furnace between my family and the exit!
roof vent filled in and hole for the fantastic fan cut over the table to avoid head banging!
welding about to be done by my good buddy, Jay at Complete Wheel Shop in Regina. If you need anything he is the man!
door frame welded and ready for installation
drip rail half done to see the difference.
belly before polishing
bellyband after a good polish
cutting out the section of the frame for the latch
first coat of the top colour done
Kristin gets in on the sanding
door apart
no windows
windowless
lifting the body off is easier when you have a friend that is a high school shop teacher and you can use his space on the weekend!
frame with unnecessary extras removed. Needs a sandblast and some welds tended to.
Kitchen area after TSP. Didn't think to use this product until reading this forum... thanks to all the contributors. We will still need paint, but...
Where the kitchen was... Hole was for the furnace. I don't think I will trust it - better to go new with that stuff IMHO
Lots of work to do in the cleaning department even after hours of scrubbing
Emptied and cleaned (believe it or not)
cleaning out where the mice lived
Definitely some cleaning to do
View from the outside when we bought it
