I read your post on your 5th wheel Bigfoot. My wife and I just bought a 1986 5th wheel bigfoot and it is in the shop now getting refurbished and some upgrades. It had a stress crack in the fibreglass at the hitch that was a concern. This was reinforced, with additional support on the frame to spread the load, and attach it more securely to the frame. Is this something you experienced and if so how did you deal with it. Also, you mention that you have some suggested modifications. I would like to learn more about those as we are in the middle of upgrading the trailer.
