Matty, I am sorry that I just found these messages. I look at FGRV almost daily but seldom log in. I expect that you have answers from someone else by now. We have not taken our trailer out of storage this year so photos of the bunk are not available, however, I can say that the front window cover is not (I think) original. The frame is original but now it is filled with a piece of household siding. Came to us like that and works pretty well. Again sorry for not being diligent -- I will try harder.

    Hi Bob,

I just messaged you about your rock guard for the front window....I am also missing the upper bunk. One of the previous owners removed it and put a frame around the window, unless the frame is original. Anyhow if you are able to provide a few pictures of how the bunk bed is attached to the wall that would be great!

    Hi bob,
I just bought a 78 Surfside and we couldn't be happier! However it is missing the rock guard that would have covered the front window. I see from your picture that your is still intact. I am wondering if you could be so kind as to take a few pictures and measurments of the rock guard, including the upper bracket attached to the body of the camper and the locking arms that hold the guard in place when left open. I have been searching the internet high and low and haven't been able to find anything. Any help would be very much appreciated!!

    Matt
