Hi, I removed my carpet on a nice spring day. Then I swept, vacuumed, and painted the floor with Kilz oil primer. Dried in an hour. Meanwhile, I used the old carpet as a pattern for a piece of scrap vinyl sheet flooring. Once down, I just replaced the metal entry strip. No glue, or double sided tape. 2 years later, with 2 big old dogs and it still looks Great.
