sorry for not connecting sooner! The top half of the Ventura was very bad with cracks right through above the rear window. These were ground out and new fiberglass matt layers glassed in and sanded. Most of the spider cracks were just surface cracks so rather than filling them with bondo, I used a rubber roll on roof paint for rv roofs. It was White Knight Flex Coat. Its a very thick paint that you roll on. It worked well but was a real pain to clean, so I painted a gloss white marine paint over it. That mad it much easier to paint. The bottom half was just done in Cloverdale marine paint(oil based) but right after I did it , Cloverdale limited sale of the paint to professionals only. This paint was just rolled on after a quick scuffing of the gel coat with 220 grit sand paper. It held up well for the time we had it.
