Hi Shawn....Sorry I haven't seen your question until now! The awning was made on East Hastings Street in Vancouver. I'm guessing in the late 70's or early 80's. I had the canvas sides made locally at Atlantic Canvas in Moncton NB where I live. $500, not cheap but very heavy duty...The trailer came originally from Vancouver. The poles and frame that came with the awning look like army issue. If it's spiked down the wind doesn't really affect it.
I live in Miami, FL. Freezing is never an issue where I live. In the event freezing could occur, I could easily blow the water out of the lines. I know this would be an issue for colder climates.
Hi SHawn. Nice to meet you. I bought the arm at Tigerdirect. It just pulls down. You can adjust the tension so it doesn't come down while in transit but we made a leather case for the screen and ties that attach to the top of the counter so its does fall just to be safe. I hope this helps. Cheers
