Good grief, am I that confused??? I WAS traveling east. No wonder I am no longer a pilot.

https://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/st...efault/l31.gif Ed, I call in locations and directions of travel every day and I get it wrong too! https://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/st...default/OH.gif

A couple of weeks ago we went to Tallulah Gorge State Park. Wonderful trip. Beautiful!
As we pulled into the campground, there was a gleaming new Casita! It was Pete and Dee from Dahlonega (aka pseabolt on Casita forum). They gave me my first ever tour of another egg! What a nice rig with some clever and well-crafted mods. Such nice folks! Here's a pic of their site just down the hill from us:

Then we walked up the hill and there was another 17' Casita! This one belonged to Warren and Judy from NC. They too were a fun couple and I hope they join us here on FGRV.

Now that I am traveling in Texas I am seeing more Casitas (wonder why https://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/st...fault/ohmy.gif )
Two in Ft Davis, two more at Seminole Canyon state park. I full time, and am often told: "well, you are alone, wouldn't do it as a couple" or variations thereof. So I felt pleased to meet Russ and Karen, plus poodle, full timing as a couple for more than a year. Congrats. It's not the size of the trailer, it's how you enjoy it https://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/st...ult/banana.gif
Hope to meet more as I amble along as a winter Texan

https://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/st...default/94.gif https://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/st...default/94.gif Hello, Troops!

The dates are kinda fuzzy, but we have seen several FGRV's since beginning our winter travels at the end of Sept:

Davis Dam CG on the Colorado River:
An Acorn (!) - appeared to be camp host - no on around, but we got a good photo.

La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite (Oct):
Scamp 5-er for volunteer staff member Will (7th year working there).

BLM Hot Springs LTVA (I-8) near Holtville, CA:
Newer Scamp Deluxe 13' - Chiropractor from the San Diego area.

I-10 southern AZ before Thanksgiving:
Passed (and waved) a Scamp heading west on I-10

La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite (Nov):

13ft Scamp - left the CG before we could visit.

16ft Scamp - Jerry from Idaho. He did not know about this forum or the Gathering, as he does not 'do' computers, but I took his name & address to forward to Nancy. He said he'd like to attend

I think there were more, but I've misplaced my notes among the pre-Christmas rubble. Anyway, it is always a treat to observe another FGRV believer on the road.

Happy holidays to all - L 'n D https://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/st...efault/h74.gif https://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/st...efault/h83.gif

Hi,

Been wanting to post this for a long time...this Casita passed us in December of last year. We were towing a car to a friend and it zipped by pretty quickly...North Carolina mountains (I74?) heading toward the Georgia Mountains.

A mid size silver SUV towing a Big Foot at 1:00 pm, on I-5 north bound at Medford Oregon today

Gina D. 12-19-2005 06:15 PM

Saturday the 17th Dec, southbound I-5 in the Dead Zone known as The San Juaqine (Sp?) Valley, a goldish SUV towing a REALLY BIG bigfoot. 23 ft?

Jay Herb 12-19-2005 09:06 PM

Gina,
I hope the rest of your trip goes well and if someone see you on the road I hope that they post it here.

The weather man said that it is going to be warmer with rain until Friday night with the snow level at 6.000 ft. and some sun Saturday and on Christmas, now that is for Southern Oregon.

Gina D. 12-20-2005 09:22 PM

16 foot Scamp, Black tug SB on hiway 101 about 10 am today, tuesday 20th. 1/2 mile north of Oregon border. You looked hard at me.

Hi Ed,

as you know, we're fulltiming (there's a thread on Casita Club we started) and we have heard of Russ and Karen (although you were the first to give the couple with the poodle a name). Are they on any forums? We would love to meet you and them.

We are in San Marcos, TX at the Pecan RV Park. Will be here til beginning of February and then head for Big Bend. Where are you ambling in Texas?

Merry Christams and Happy New Year

I have seen more eggs in two weeks than I have at all the rallies I have been too! https://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/st...efault/l31.gif

Rest area, just south of Wilsonville, Or, I-5, noonish (I got a LATE start today!) and dark blue SUV with a Non short Casita (16 or 17, I can never tell)

I was on I-5 suthbound, not at the rest area.

Kurt & Ann K. 12-27-2005 10:37 PM

Today, 16' Scamp parked in Mountain Home Village, CA.

Gina, 17' Casitas have a flat door and higher raised section on roof.
We are getting more of them in our So. Cal. mountains.
Kurt & Ann K.

Gina D. 12-28-2005 07:24 PM

and another one today. A Burro (I think) up on a hill above I-5 at Grants Pass, just a couple blocks north of the first downtown exit if headed south.

Looks like an RV storage place.

Frederick L. Simson 12-29-2005 06:15 PM

Today, at about 2:30?, San Diego northbound Interstate 15, just north of Balboa Avenue exit. A red Dodge Durango hauling a 16' Scamp...

Gina D. 12-31-2005 08:43 PM

I'll post this here AND in the For Sale section.

On a lot, big rv dealership just one exit north of Keyes Ca. (East side of Hiway 99 North) what I THINK is a Perris Pacer. It had Boler and Perris Pacer shape, but not Boler Graphics, PP graphics, but no long window like a PP.

More squarish than roundish, Except in front. All these characteristics makes me guess at its origin.

It's in the back row, dwarfed by the big new 5ers and buldgies. Did you trade it in?

Joy A 01-02-2006 03:22 AM

David and Leslie de Breaux,

I noticed your "Acorn (!)".

Just to let you know the first few trailers out of the Scamp factory were actually named Acorns. They had a little work to do in order to use the Scamp name. So the first half dozen to dozen were called Acorns.

D Shubel 01-02-2006 07:42 PM

Traveling North on I-95 near Melbourne, Florida yesterday morning to catch an early flight out of Orlando. Traveling South and cutting through the fog, I saw a 13' Burro behind a large white or gray SUV.

First egg I have seen on the road. My husband notices them all the time. This time he didn't see it because he was napping in the back.
