Vancouver Island 17' Bigfoot Gaucho
 

Hi all,

I just joined last night and have been browsing the site. Great info and resources! After looking for months I was able to find exactly what I was looking for for under my budget.

I found a 1988 b17 Gaucho for $2500. There are some minor water stains in the ceiling and a broken window but aside from that, everything is in great shape and working order.

I am intending on doing a few things soon and this site is already helping. First thing is to redo the sealing around everything in the roof that is still warranted and remove what is isn't (like the TV antenna).

There are lots of kind and helpful people here on the forums. You have a problem, we've got a workable solution for you... just ask.

Roof leak problems seem to be a problem with some BigFoots. There are numerous threads that address that issue. DON'T USE SILICONE TO FIX IT! :loltu

Thanks for the welcome. I am pretty happy with the deal I got. The next best deal I found was a 1979 for $4500. I am pretty handy and will be doing 99% of the repairs and modifications myself and am impressed at the depth of knowledge on this site. It appears that it will be the go-to resource for everything.
