DIY stone guard

We are considering making a stone guard from the old front window we removed from our 1974 Honey Boler.

We purchased new hardware from scamp. Should we put TrimLoc around the edges? Or something else? Or nothing?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Trimlock sounds like a good idea. As long as what you use does not gouge into or scratch the fiberglass.

There are also some smooth vinyl edge trims that might work, choose one that has an adhesive inside the trim, that helps it stay in place.

Trim has to be matched to the thickness of the material you are putting it onto. That is simple enough to figure out as the specs on the trims should state what thickness it was designed for.
