A three-way fridge was installed by a previous owner (not factory installed). We installed additional wiring for 12V lights. Extra 120V outlets installed including GFCI. Added shelves to the closet. Added a mattress on top of the cushions for more comfort. Replaced curtains over the kitchen unit with an aluminum venetian blind for fire safety.
Exterior
Porch light added. Added a 12V outlet and a 120V outlet. Added under-bed hatch doors to access storage under the bed from outside.
Renovations
Old liner stripped out and new liner installed consisting of a layer of closed-cell foam and then a layer of boat hull liner. New vinyl flooring installed after repairing some of the plywood which was rotting due to a leak. Replaced the "wood" panelling as it was dark and sort of cheap looking.
Windows removed and new butyl caulking installed. Some aluminum trim removed and caulking installed, then the trim reinstalled to stop a pin-hole leak. New vinyl strip was placed in the aluminum trim slot (purchased in England as the correct size is difficult to find in North America). Replaced the electrical hookup on the outside. Replaced sheer curtains and replaced screens which are held on with velcro (saves weight).
Has the original surge brakes which had been taken off by the previous owner, but he had saved all the pieces so we were able to reinstall them.
Brown plastic trim on the outside was scrubbed and then repainted with Krylon spray paint for plastic for protection.
Other Information
Has a galvanized frame and an enclosed bin for the battery and propane tank. Previous owner purchased the factory-made canvas add-a-room complete with walls with plastic windows which doubles the size of the trailer. Room attaches through a slot in the trim strip which can also be used for a regular awning.
Tow Vehicle
Nissan X-trail. Did use a Toyota Matrix, and while it could pull it, it was a bit of a load on the car
