The interior of the trailer was in horrible condition when we bought it with black mildew on the walls. We scrubbed, and scrubbed and got it clean. We added new cushions, upholstery, curtains. We removed the heater and stove. There is an icebox, but we only use it for storage and plan to remove it. We lost the top bunk to bad storage conditions in 2000. Someone kindly traced a pattern for us but we've yet to replace it. There are many improvements left to do.
Exterior
Frame was cracked above the driver's side axle when we bought it, creating a nasty sag in the back corner. We carefully removed the shell from the frame and had that side of the frame replaced. We had other joints reinforced at the same time. Some bolts holding the kitchen cabinets have been replaced using acorn nuts and rubber washers for weather proofing. The gelcoat is in need of some love and there are spider cracks in many places. Many plans are yet to be executed.
Customization
We built a convertible extension to our bed for the aisle of the trailer allowing us to sleep lengthwise (the bed is now mushroom shaped.)
