1960s Meeks Fiberglass Tent-camper
History My husband and I purchased this camper very recently (11/2010) from a local lady. It has always been in her family, having been originally purchased by her grandfather. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us. It was made in Lampasas - looks like a kit or possibly home built. We are not certain about the year, either late 1950s or very early 1960s. Her mother thinks there was only one other made. My husband and I have wondered if someone was trying to start a camper-making business that didn't take hold. We haven't had much time, yet, to do more investigating...but we plan to. I'll update here when we find out more.

We've not had the time to clean her up, much less start fixin' her up...so these pictures are as we bought her. She's been living in an old barn for who knows how long - and it shows. Lots of dirt and dirt-dobber nests.
