Trailer Name The Bean
Year 1992
Make Scamp
Model Standard
Length 13'
History Original owner purchased in April 1992 for $3895.00 for the standard trailer plus the following options: 2 speed fan $168.00, front and rear cabinets $132.00, range window $47.00, spare tire and cover $97.00, 8' self storing awning $365.00, city water $40.00, rear opening window $96.00, silverware drawer $38.00, 12 volt porch light $22.00, screen door $177.00, total cost new $5249.00. In 1994 the trailer was purchased by my in-laws and made annual trips to Florida in the winter to "follow the sun." The trips to Florida became less frequent and the in-laws began to consider that they should sell "The Bean" but did not wish to sell their dream of traveling. About 2 years ago my wife and I offered to buy the trailer so the in-laws could use the cash for other things but with the trailer still in the family, they could use it anytime they wanted. When the in-laws bought the trailer in 1994 one of our nieces saw it and declared that it looked like a big jelly bean. The name was shortened and it's been known as "The Bean" ever since.
Exterior

Customization
The Bean remains unchanged except for a battery charger that has been added to keep the battery charged while parked here at the house.
