Make Beachcomber
Model B15
Length 15ft.
History Picked up my B15 in Van. BC in Apr. 2011. The roof vent had been open for 2 yrs. Water had leaked in and there was extensive rot in all the framing and in the floor. Stripping out the interior showed me that this Beachcomber had had a rough life. It had been patched on the fibreglass, in the interior on the walls and floor. The frame was broken and patched, not repaired.
Interior
The interior was totally gutted, including all the wood framing and the floors. New 3/4" framing was glued into place, matching the placing of the original except for the roof. I decided to use 2" cedar lumber to reconstruct the roof framing. This was cut to follow the roof curvature as closely as possible. I intend to panel the inside with 1/8th" vinyl coated panelling in white.

Exterior
Numerous fibreglass repairs were done to the exterior, especially around the bottom. The fibreglass body was sanded down and repainted with marine paint.
The broken frame was properly repaired and a new torflex axle was installed.

Customization
The interior layout will be changed somewhat. There was no fridge when purchased, so a new 12volt DC fridge with a danfoss compressor was purchased. It will be installed on the opposite side and raised up about 18" for easier access.
