The Ol'Girl in a Michigan State Park
History We purchased the ol’ girl from her original owners 5 years ago. They had kept it in great condition. They were retired and told us how their kids had grown up camping in the Boler. Most of the family came to say good-bye as we pulled away with her.
The gentleman had worked for an RV company before retiring. He had added arch supports in the ceiling to protect against the weight of snowpack, permanently affixed the upper bunk to accommodate a microwave above the extended counter and added a counter with a sink in the bathroom.
We love traveling with her and take extensive road trips each summer. She has crossed Canada; has been to the west coast twice; travelled completely around the Great Lakes; has visited the Grand Canyon, Glacier National Park, Badlands National Park, Black Hills and throughout the Rockies (both the Canadian and American). Next year we’re headed to the east coast (the Maritimes and New England).
We have been stopped on the road many times by people asking for a tour of our trailer. We also love waving to other Boler owners we meet on the highway.
Interior
We are trying to keep the Boler as close to original as possible. We have removed the valances (trimmed with pompoms) and made new curtains. We replaced the foam in all the cushions (fabric was still in good condition, just had them dry cleaned and Scotch-guarded), Fantastic Fan and Max Air vents installed; new 3-way fridge this year; replaced overhead lights with LED bulbs; new water pump

Exterior
Deoxidized entire exterior with 3M marine scrub and polish; at the beginning of every season wax with 3M marine wax; painted all bumpers black to match vehicle; replaced brake and marker lights with LED; had stabilizing jacks permanently installed; new axle and tires this year; new propane tanks and battery; replaced porch light

Customization
Had screen door built

Other Information
Right now we are investigating the possibility of adding an A/C unit. So far, no luck. We would also like to have a new awning with an add-a-room. Have made many attempts, however none have fit. Our next big projects are to replace the front window with one that opens and have the exterior painted.
